The American Glass Guild has asked me to create and share the next Community Project for their 2025 exhibition at the Mesa Contemporary Art Museum, and you are invited to contribute!

The AGG is an inclusive organization that welcomes members of all skill levels. members freely share their knowledge and skills to promote glass education for all participants. I am excited to partner with AGG to unite the work of glass artists of all different backgrounds and experience levels in what is sure to be an exciting finished piece.

AGG Community Project Guidelines
Project Overview

By submitting a piece to the AGG Community Project, you are donating your artwork to be included in a collaborative piece that will be auctioned off by the AGG after being on display. The final piece will be displayed at the Mesa Arts Center May- August. Proceeds from the auction will go towards the AGG.

How to Enter:
To participate, we ask for a minimum donation of $5 to help cover the cost of funding the project. Any excess funds will be donated to the AGG Scholarship Fund.

By donating through this link you are acknowledging acceptance of the project terms.

Submission Details:
Each participant may submit 1 piece.

Accepted Glasswork Types:
We are accepting all flat glass work. If you are an engraver, fuser, or painter, or glassblower, you may send your flat glass work back unsoldered. The glass thickness must be under 4mm.

If you are making stained glass please create your piece using copper foil method. Your finished piece will then be leaded to join with the other submissions. The pattern shows a dotted outline to help visualize what portion of your pattern will be covered with lead so you can design accordingly.

the piece should be created to fill the full pattern up  to the solid black line.

The pattern will alternate direction vertically, So you can design your pattern in either orientation.

Additional Submissions:
If you’d like to donate something additional to be included in the piece that you make (such as hand-made gems, copper work, or 3D glass objects), please reach for approval.

Submission Deadline:
All pieces must be received by March 20th 2025 to be included in the final project.

While there is no overarching theme for this project, the goal is to create a collaborative piece that showcases the diverse styles and creativity of each participant. Below are the specific design guidelines to follow:

    •    No violence or graphic content.
    •    No nudity or anything of a sexual nature.
    •    No potty humor.
    •    No religious symbols.
    •    Original designs only – please create your own patterns; do not use a pattern from another artist.

Artistry Guidelines
To ensure a smooth assembly process, please avoid including the following in your piece:

Returning your finished artwork:
